Bulgaria receives first payment of 1.37 Billion from EU Recovery Plan
 
This month the European Commission transferred the first payment as part of a wide-reaching National Recovery Plan. The payment was made after Bulgaria met 22 key milestones and targets relating to the national recovery and resilience plan.
 
A key focus of the recovery plan is to decarbonize the energy sector and increase the expansions of the digital infrastructure, judicial system and minimum wage. 
 
Already a big energy producer due to its hydro plants, Bulgaria will focus on increasing its green energy production
