Travel Restrictions to Bulgaria Lifted for 8 Countries

The 14-day quarantine for those arriving in Bulgaria from 8 countries is abolished.

This is stated in the order issued today by the Minister of Health.

As of tomorrow, June 18, the 14-day quarantine for those arriving in Bulgaria from Iceland, the Kingdom of Norway, Switzerland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, San Marino, the Principality of Andorra, the Principality of Monaco and the Vatican City State will expire. This is stated in the order issued today by the Minister of Health.

The same order also allows all persons who have a residence permit in a Member State of the European Union, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or in a Schengen country (including the Republic of San Marino, the Principality of Andorra, the Principality of Monaco and the Vatican City State). ) and the members of their families to enter the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The directors of the regional health inspectorates have been ordered to revoke the issued prescriptions for quarantine of persons who arrived in Bulgaria from Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Andorra, Monaco and the Vatican in the period from 05.06.2020 to 17.06.2020. 

Those travelling from countries where quaratine restrictions still apply must stay for a minimum of 14 days to ensure the quaratine period is observed.
