SLUNCHEV BRYAG [SUNNY BEACH] is among the most prestigious Bulgarian Black Sea resorts, famous far beyond the country’s frontiers. Scenically located along the coast, it is 6 km north of Nessebur.

 

The spacious beach, more than 6 km long and up to 150 m wide, the fine golden sands, the picturesque dunes, the decline of the sea bottom and the clement climate make it a suitable and desirable place for holiday making. A great number of hotels, villas, holiday houses and bungalows have been built amidst parks and gardens. The resort has tennis courts, swimming pools and water slides, bowling, a mini golf field, a stable with horses and riding instructors; several big commercial centres have been built and there is a summer open-air theatre seating 1000.

 

With the passage of time the prestigious resort has almost fused with Nessebur to the south.
