Funding boost for Bulgarian agriculture

Bulgaria's Agriculture Minister, Desislava Taneva, has rolled out a new phase of the Rural Development Plan and is offering 50 Million Euros of funding to Bulagrian farmers.
The funding is aimed at the purchase of agricultural equipment to help push forward Bulgaria's agricultural industry which potentially is a significant part of the country's economy. Farmers have until mid September to apply for funding and payments are expected to happen at the end of September.
Maximum funding per application is 500 000 Euros.
Farming in Bulgaria is one of the country's fastest growing industry's and revenue has significantly jumped over the past few years. Farmland in Bulgaria has seen big price jumps over the past couple of years, particularly in the fertile north west area of Bulgaria.
